FEBRUARY 2nd is GROUNDHOG DAY
According to folklore, if it is cloudy when
a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, it will leave the burrow,
signifying that winter like weather will soon end. If it is sunny, the groundhog will
supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter
weather will continue for six more weeks.
FEBRUARY 14th is VALENTINES DAY
On this day
we send people greeting cards with heart shapes and buy candy in the shape
of hearts to let someone know you care about them.

Open the account with a minimum deposit of $10.00.
Children are required to maintain a balance of $10.00 at
all times. We do not charge an inactive fee on VIK accounts unless
the account has been inactive for a period of 2 years.
Semi-annual coloring promotion to encourage regular
deposits
Each child making a deposit of $10.00 or more when
returning a completed picture gets an instant prize plus an automatic entry
into a drawing for a variety of prizes. If the child does not make a
deposit and returns the completed picture, they are still entered into the
drawing to win a prize.
REPORT CARD CREDIT
When a copy of the report card is presented and a $20.00
deposit is made, we will credit the account with a bonus deposit based on
their grades. Maximum bonus: $5.50 per marking. This
follows the child through college (age 24) as long as they are a full time
student.
$1.00 BONUS FOR PERFECT ATTENDANCE
Bonus deposit will be determined by adding all the grade
point values and dividing by the number of grades. When the average
is less than $2.00, no bonus will be given.
